Georgetown man wanted for kidnapping, robbery

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office are asking for help in finding a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery and kidnapping Thursday morning.

According to a release, Jimmy Cagle, 39, of Georgetown is accused of holding a knife to a victim's throat and taking the victim's wallet.

Officials said Cagle demanded the victim drive him around various locations in Georgetown but left the scene before sheriff's deputies arrived.

The victim was not injured.

Cagle has three active third-degree assault and battery warrants with the sheriff's office on unrelated cases.

Officials said he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
