Think green in Marion Square
Lowcountry Leisure: By Ashley Lindquist
It's not easy being green. Lucky for us, the Charleston Green Fair is coming to the Lowcountry.
Better your eco knowledge Sunday from noon - 7:30 in Marion Square. More than 100 exhibitors and non-profits will be set up to help you reduce your carbon footprint.
Check out products and services from vendors including Charleston Veggies and Vegans, Rewind Candles, Charleston Waterkeeper, Mission Essentials skin care line, Palmetto Fine Arts and Crafts and Lowcountry Local First, just to name a few.
Local talent the Blue Dogs and Uncle Mingo, Stained Glass Wall, Dream Merchants, the 3 Dudes, Nathan Calhoun, Introducing Fish Taco and members of the Shrimp Records collective will take the stage.
Last year's event saw more than 5,000 eco-friendly patrons, and this year's 4th Annual Charleston Green Fair hopes to put that number to shame. If Mayor Joe Riley calls it "the most important festival in Charleston", you know it's gotta be worth a visit.
