Goose Creek PD, Charleston DEA search for meth lab

      GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Goose Creek Police Department Special Response and Tactics Team teamed up with the Charleston DEA Task Force to execute a search warrant on Edmund Road Wednesday morning.

      According to Capt. John Grainger with the GCPD, around 9 a.m. officers served a search warrant at 105 Edmund Rd. By 10:45 the scene had been secured and Grainger said there was no immediate danger posed to the surrounding homes.

      "Methamphetamines is a pretty dangerous deal," said Capt. Grainger. "It involves chemicals, many of those are legally obtained, and when placed in combination or around other chemicals that might co-act with them or you introduce flames, sparks, other things, they can be very dangerous."

      GCPD investigators and members of the DEA Task Force are processing the scene and if any items are found, they will dispose of them accordingly.

      According to police reports, 32-year-old Brian Keith Hill of105 Edmund Rd. has been charged with attempting to manufacture and distributing meth and two counts of disposal of methamphetamine waste.
