Goose Creek Police Department up for accreditation, seeks public input

{}GOOSE CREEK , S.C. (WCIV) - The Commissions on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies will visit the Goose Creek Police Department this August, and residents are invited to give their feedback. On Aug. 3, CALEA members will conduct an on-site survey of the procedures, management, operations and support services at the Goose Creek Police Department. According to police officials, getting verified by the commission ensures state-of-the-art standards are part a of the voluntary process to maintain accreditation.On Aug. 5, agency employees and members of the community are encouraged to offer comments about the police department. Anyone who would like to give their opinion on the department's performance is asked to be at the Goose Creek Municipal Canter on Goose Creek Boulevard at 5 p.m. Goose Creek police officials ask anyone that can't speak at the public session but would like to, make their opinions known by telephone.
