Goose Creek police looking for home invaders

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police in Goose Creek are investigating an armed home invasion that happened on Wilmer Drive shortly after noon on Thursday.

According to police, the intruders forced their way into the home and the resident ran to a nearby business to call police. By the time police arrived, the intruders were gone. A K-9 unit was sent to find the intruders but lost the trail, police said.

The suspects have been described as two black men wearing black hoodies and ski masks. One was carrying a hatchet and the other had an axe, police said.

Westview Elementary, Middle, and Primary schools were notified of the incident.

No one was injured.

Police did not say what was taken from the home.
