      COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is asking her Cabinet agencies for a list of every building they own.

      At her Cabinet meeting Monday, Haley signed an executive order demanding the list by Dec. 15. She says she has wanted the information since she took office in 2011, but the Budget and Control Board has not been able to pull a list together.

      Haley says she plans to look at the list with department heads and figure out what the state can sell and consolidate to save money. She is considering giving some of the savings back to the agencies.

      On her Facebook page, Monday Haley said the state will be downsizing "because we should."{}

      "Congrats to HHS for reducing its square footage by 27k sq ft saving taxpayers $10 mill over the next ten years. More success stories to follow."

      The Budget and Control Board is offering to help agencies create the list by sending interns to courthouses to look up deeds or give them any other assistance.
