      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The victim of a shooting that happened earlier this month has died, officials said.

      The coroner has identified the victim as 19-year-old Bervin "Deshaun" Green.

      Green was shot on August 3.{}

      According to a North Charleston police report, 21-year-old Jared Carson was charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

      Green died Thursday night of complications from his injuries and police confirm Carson's charges have been upgraded to include murder.

      On Friday, a judge denied Carson bond.

      Green's family was in bond court and had the chance to face the man accused of murdering him.

      "You hurt us and you hurt us real bad," said Anthony Brown, Green's uncle. "And I want you to hurt the same way you hurt our family."

      Officials said Green was shot after Carson came into the home claiming to be a neighbor. Green's girlfriend found him shot in the chest and forehead.

      His family said he had planned to move to North Carolina to be closer to his mother.

      "Deshaun was loving and caring," said Tekesha Brown, his aunt. "Deshaun wanted to be married. He like the family life."

      Green's sister said her big brother was planning a family cruise but instead, she said they will face the tough task of planning Green's funeral.

      "For this guy to just go out there and just do something like that right there, I ain't accepting that," she said.

      Carson is due back in court on November 1.
