Haley, Sheheen announce fundraising totals

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) -- The campaigns for Governor Nikki Haley and{} her former opponent, Vincent Sheheen, announced their fundraising totals Friday.

Haley for Governor reported more than $757,000 in contributions for the fundraising quarter and has more than $3.7 million cash on hand.

"South Carolina is on the move - jobs are up, unemployment is down, and the truth is we're just getting started," said Haley for Governor Advisor Tim Pearson. "We are overwhelmed by the generous support of those who appreciate Governor Haley's record and share her vision for a South Carolina where every citizen can find a job and every child has a chance to succeed."

Sheheen for South Carolina announced it raised more than $1.6 million in nine months and ended the fourth quarter with more than $1.4 million in the bank.

"The outpouring of support for Vincent has been strong and only continues to grow as South Carolinians demand real accountability and look for new leadership in their government," said Andrew Whalen, campaign manager for Sheheen for South Carolina. "South Carolinians deserve a government that works and works for them. They support Vincent's vision for the future and have seen his ability to deliver results instead of excuses."
