NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP/WCIV) - Charleston and North Charleston are getting together to help people navigate the new health care law.
The cities are hosting an Affordable Healthcare Information Fair at the Charleston Area Convention Center on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The fair offers residents a chance to meet with certified agents and application counselors and ask questions about ways to enroll for health insurance through the federal health care marketplace. No appointments are needed and there are informational presentations every 30 minutes about the federal health care act.
North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey says the fair is designed to help eliminate confusion about the act while Charleston Mayor Joe Riley says the fair gives folks a chance to learn more about the health care marketplace.
