CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -- Tours of the historic area of Conway are going high-tech.
The city on Friday unveils a new tour in which visitors can use their smartphones to scan QR - or quick response - codes at 10 locations downtown.
For each location the codes will access information about the site along with photos and videos.
The program was developed this summer by Conway Downtown Alive with the help of computer science interns from Duke University. The interns spent time in Conway this summer working on various projects with nonprofit groups.
Downtown Conway Alive is a nonprofit working to preserve the historic downtown area while stimulating economic development.
