CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The City of Charleston Housing Authority is holding a ribbon cutting for a new housing development downtown.
The Gateway Development is made up of 21 historic homes that were renovated to become affordable housing.
The apartments are owned and managed by the Housing Authority. The work was overseen by the City of Charleston's Department of Housing and Community Development.
Mayor Joe Riley, Jr., and City of Charleston Council members will be on Engel Street Wednesday afternoon for the ribbon cutting.
