      Husband of missing woman gets reduced bond

      {}CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The husband of a woman missing for over two years was given a reduced bond Wednesday.The judge presiding over Robert McCaffrey's preliminary hearing reduced his bond from $100,000 to $50,000. In return, McCaffrey will have to keep law enforcement informed of his current address on a weekly basis.

      Detective Perkins from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office told ABC News 4's Bill{} Burr that McCaffrey is working in Statesville, North Carolina, currently living at an extended stay hotel, and commuting to Manteo, North Carolina to live with his father on weekends.

      Robert McCaffrey was charged with obstruction back in June. Charleston County deputies said investigators found discrepancies in the story McCaffrey told{} deputies and what they found in their search. Bob McCaffrey has long been a person of interest in his wife's disappearance. The judge on Wednesday ruled that there was enough evidence against the man for the case to go forward.He reported his wife missing March 18, 2012. He reportedly told deputies that he last saw his wife around 10 p.m. on Saint Patrick's Day. He said he left the residence to travel to Easley, S.C. Gayle has not been seen or heard from since.Bob McCaffrey told investigators shortly after his wife disappeared that when he returned home, he found his wife's wedding ring, checkbook and a typed letter on a countertop.

      Chris Lizzi,{} Bob McCaffrey's attorney, refused to comment.
