CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)-- "Lemonade for one dollar!" "Get your one dollar lemonade!" "It's yummy for your tummy!" The sounds of children could be heard up and down the sidewalks of the College of Charleston Wednesday.Students from James Simmons Elementary School set up a lemonade stand outside of CofC's Stern Center to raise money for the Charleston Animal Society and learn about entrepreneurship."I only have one dollar, here you go," said one customer. Students and passers-by readily bought up little plastic cups of lemonade on their way to class or work.The "Lemon-Aid Stand" Program was managed by the College of Charleston Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team. In just two hours, the students raised over $432 for the CAS while learning about what it takes to run a good business and serve their community.
