SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Officials at Savannah's international airport say they've noted a 22 percent increase in passengers in May over the same time period in 2013.
Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport officials tell the Savannah Morning News (http://bit.ly/T4QyMk) nearly 200,000 passengers traveled through the terminal last month.
Airport spokeswoman Lori Lynah told the newspaper that the airport has already seen an overall increase of 100,000 passengers since last year.
Airport director Greg Kelly says the increase in passengers will hopefully help officials convince airlines to add additional service.Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
