CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man accused of murdering his girlfriend is going before a judge Wednesday morning.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 30-year-old Robert Kronsberg, accused of killing 25-year-old Tasha Lucia of James Island.

According to the affidavit, Kronsberg hit Lucia in the head with a hammer and stabbed her in the chest with a kitchen knife. The affidavit says it was the stab wound that killed her.

Witnesses say Kronsberg then went to sleep in the front bedroom, only feet away from her body.

A police report says Kronsburg, better known as Tilghman Kronsberg, was found with blood on his upper body, as well as a self-inflicted cut on his wrist.

Lucia worked at Locklear's on Folly Beach and was supposed to be at work Sunday when her body was found.

We will update this story as more details become available from the courtroom.
