Kids can touch animals at SRS ecology lab
AIKEN, S.C. (AP) - Kids can get up close and personal with animals at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory's annual event.
On Saturday, the lab is scheduled to hold its fifth annual Touch an Animal Day.
In years past, hundreds of people at the event have spent time with alligators, owls and possums. People will also be able to learn about plants found in the area, and ecology lab scientists will be on hand to answer any questions.
No security clearance is required, and the event is free and open to the public.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
