NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The grass may not be greener, but that doesn't mean your lawnmower can't be.

At the 2013 Tri-County Lawnmower Exchange, you can trade in your old gas-powered lawnmower for a new electric mower for a discounted price.

Event organizers, including the Department of Health and Environmental Control, have said that gas powered mowers emit as much air pollution as 11 cars in an hour.

The Lawn Mower Exchange will take place Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the corner of Noisette Blvd. & Turnbull Ave. near North Charleston Riverfront Park.

Additional $20 vouchers are available for the first 100 trade-ins!

Black & Decker and Royall Hardware will be on-site for demonstrations and purchases of air friendly lawn mowers and power yard tools.
