(WCIV) -- She's just 14 years old, but Katie Stagliano is on a mission to end hunger. She started her own{} non-profit, Katie's Krops at the age of nine with a class project that fed nearly 300 people. Now she's built more than 50 gardens in 21 states including her 55th in Summerville at Joe Pye Elementary School. "I really think this garden will be amazing because we are starting out small and we hope the garden will grow and continue to add more things to it and definitely be a learning tool for the kids," said Katie. "We are trying to attract bees.""This is really gonna be like an outdoor science classroom," said Resource Teacher Stephanie Baird. "Where the students can come and work hands-on and see the product of what they're doing."{}The kids at Joe Pye came out and got their hands dirty too."They really wanted to come out here and do what ever they could to help and they were so into it," said Baird. "Which is great. I love seeing kids so into gardening."The Summerville Tractor Supply Company donated all the supplies for Katie's newest garden.
