MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Locklear's Seafood on Coleman Boulevard closed its doors for the final time Monday.
The restaurant has been serving seafood in the town for 25 years, but said the cost of doing business became too much.
Ann Peterson stopped in with her family for a post-wedding brunch Monday afternoon. She says they've been going to Locklear's for years and considers the owners and staff family.
"We have called them and called them with details and they're like, 'Sure!' This morning I came in early to help. It's like, 'Yeah, I'll pitch in,'" said Peterson.
The owners said they will still sell soup and a few other items online. And they are open to moving the restaurant if the price is right.
