Lowcountry company that started last year expands
BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - A company that started in Hardeeville a year ago that makes lightweight carbon fiber is expanding and adding three dozen new jobs.
The Beaufort Gazette reports that DUER High Performance Composites is moving from its Hardeeville location to a bigger facility in Beaufort.
The company was started by the husband & wife team of Chris and Tauri Duer and currently employs a dozen people.
The company makes materials such as resin-infused carbon fiber which is used for boats.
