Lowcountry law enforcement, military to conduct training Wed. night

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Law enforcement agencies in the Lowcountry will conduct training exercises Wednesday night with members of the military in North Charleston.

The training will be conducted to "improve their readiness to operate in an urban setting," according to a news release from the City of North Charleston.

"Residents should understand this exercise has been coordinated with local agencies; therefore, the public should not be alarmed if they hear helicopters flying over during this time," the news release said. "However, during the exercise any questions can be relayed to the non-emergency number: (843) 745-1015."
