Magnolias to close in January for renovations

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Starting next month, Magnolias in downtown Charleston will close its doors for renovations as it prepares for its 25th anniversary in 2015.

Restaurant officials announced Monday that the interior of the restaurant would be redone.

The restaurant will close on Jan. 2 and remain closed during the renovations which are expected to wrap up during the first week of February.

Magnolias opened its doors in 1990 and has been a culinary attraction for locals and tourists alike looking for upscale Southern fare.
