CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- After several cars were broken into on Johns Island, police have arrested a man they believe is behind the thefts.

Charleston police say 27-year-old Eddie Thomas was arrested Monday for breaking into three cars on Sweetleaf Lane and Fetterbush Lane between April 7 and May 9.

Police said all three vehicles were left unlocked.

On April 7, police said someone entered a vehicle on Sweetleaf Lane and stole money, a canvas tote bag, a purse, a cell phone pouch and two small flashlights.

Three days later someone entered a vehicle on Fetterbush Lane and stole several credit cards and an iPhone charger, according to police.

Then, on May 9, someone entered another vehicle on Sweetleaf Lane and stole money and several credit cards.
