Man charged in Conway shooting death

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A 27-year-old Conway man has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting death last month.

Conway police say San MeGales Huffman was arrested Saturday by sheriff's deputies in Hampton County.

Lt. Selena Small says Huffman is accused in the Jan. 6 death of 23-year-old Joey Pyatt. Pyatt died at a Conway hospital while being treated for a gunshot wound.

Huffman was jailed Monday in Horry County on murder and weapons charges. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.
