Man charged in West Ashley burglary

WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police arrested a man on Saturday in connection to the burglary of a West Ashley business that had happened two days earlier.

According to police, 46-year-old Antonio Illya Pinckney was charged with second-degree burglary and property crime enhancement.

Police say the burglary happened at the Family Dollar store on Savannah Highway around 12:45 a.m. Saturday. The burglar used a large piece of concrete to shatter the front door of the store and stole two packs of T-shirts and a radio.

Police are still investigating the incident.
