WADMALAW ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man Tuesday they say was involved in a stabbing incident on Wadmalaw Island over the weekend.

According to an incident report, deputies responded to a home on Dunwell Road Sunday for an altercation between a father and a son. They said they found the father sitting in a chair with a stab wound on the left side of his chest.

The victim's wife told deputies who stabbed her husband and said the fight was "over money" but said she did not witness the attack.

The suspect, 33-year-old Michael Mack III of Wadmalaw, was charged with attempted murder.
