Man found dead inside Mount Pleasant home

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Officers were called to a home in Mount Pleasant after a woman reported she found her roommate unconscious on Tuesday.

According to the police report, officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department were dispatched to a home on Williamson Drive at about 3:30 p.m.

Officers found a 54-year-old man not breathing and without a pulse, the report states.

The roommate told officers the man did not eat or drink much in the previous two days but she said she did not know of any medical history, the report states.

According to the report, the woman said she saw the man the same day before she left for work and said he did not appear to be feeling bad.

The roommate said she attempted to do CPR on the man, the report states.

The Charleston County coroner has not released the man's name or his cause of death.

According to the report, the Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating.
