Man found dead in Kershaw house fire
KERSHAW, S.C. (AP) -- A 34-year-old Kershaw man has died in a fire that destroyed his home.
Lancaster County Coroner Mike Morris says Adam Whitley's body was found in the living room of his home on Thursday.
Someone called to report the fire at around 10 a.m., and firefighters arrived to find light smoke billowing from the home. Sheriff's Maj. Matt Shaw says the fire could have started in the living room, where authorities found several power cords and an electric heater.
Shaw says investigators have found no signs of foul play and that the fire was probably an accident.
