BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man's body was found at the Quinby Creek Boat Landing early Wednesday morning.
Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury identified the man as 67-year-old John Profit, of Huger.
Salisbury said rescue crews first went looking for the man near the boat landing after getting a 911 call of a missing man. Profit's truck was found a short time later at the boat landing with the engine still running.
Crews found his cellphone, wallet, shoes, and a shirt on the dock, Salisbury said. Several hundred yards away, Profit's boat was found. Profit was found near the boat.
Salisbury said the death is under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
