Man killed in downtown Charleston shooting


CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning on Charleston's east side.

According to Charleston police, the man was shot and killed around 3:45 a.m. on Nassau Street. Police identified the shooting suspect as Brandon Horlback, of Nassau Street.Horlback has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Horlback was denied bond on Sunday morning.

The Charleston County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 40-year-old Donnathian Grant. Officials said Grant died from a gunshot wound, but an autopsy has been scheduled for Sunday.

This is the second fatal shooting in downtown Charleston in two days.
