Man takes bullet to the foot

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- One person was left with a gunshot wound to the foot following what deputies described as an apparent robbery.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office responded to Tuskeegee Drive off Ashley Phosphate Drive around 1:45 a.m. Monday.

According to police reports, the victim told police that a young white male came to his door, asking for help because his car was stuck in a ditch. When the victim refused to help, he says the man and another black male forced their way into his house.

Once inside, the report says the victim refused to hand over any money and that's when he was shot in the foot. The victim then gave the men about $350 in cash before they ran out towards Ashley Phosphate Road.

The victim told police he never saw the gun, just a flash of light as he was shot.

The first suspect is described as a white male in his mid-twenties who is about 5'5" and weighs about 180 pounds. He was wearing dark shorts, and orange shirt and a gray jacket.

The second suspect is described as a black male, between 18 and 25-years-old who was about six feet tall and weighed about 160 pounds. He was wearing gloves and a black hooded sweatshirt.
