Man tells police he was shot at while driving on I-26

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man called North Charleston police early Thursday morning from the side of Interstate 26 and said someone had fired several shots at his car.

According to the police report, the man told responding officers that someone in a gray car pulled along side his vehicle and opened fire, hitting his car once in the front driver's side door and another time near the driver's side mirror.{}

The man told officers that the driver of the other car then turned off on the Ashley Phosphate exit.

The man was not able to tell what direction the car turned or give a description of the shooter, the report states.{}
