Man wins $200,000 at Mt. Pleasant gas station

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Mount Pleasant man thought his luck was dashed when he bought the last card on a roll of lottery cards, but ended up winning $200,000.{}

The man was in line at the Scotchman on Jonnie Dodds Boulevard when he watched the clers replace the roll of cards with a new roll. He decided to buy the first ticket, thinking it would be lucky.{}

Instead, he bought the last ticket on the old roll -- and won $200,000.{}

"It was a once in a lifetime moment," he said,relieved he didn't get what he wanted after all.

The man played the Red Hot Ticket game. Lottery officials say there is still another $200,000 ticket out there.{}

The odds of winning it are 1 in 600,000.{}

The Scotchman store that sold the ticket made a commission of $2,000.
