Manning man on trial for killing baby and grandma
MANNING, S.C. (AP) - A woman has testified at her boyfriend's murder trial in Manning that she closed her eyes as he pointed a shotgun at her and told her she made him shoot.
Kaisha Caraway said Tuesday when she opened her eyes after hearing the shot, she saw the couple's 9-month-old son dead in his high chair.
The Sumter Item reports (http://bit.ly/1iA9xFH ) Justin Johnson is on trial for killing Jayden Caraway and his 59-year-old grandmother Maxine Caraway in 2011 at a home in Manning.
Kaisha Caraway says after killing the baby, Johnson ordered her into his car and told her to lie to police. When an officer got her alone in a car, she wrote "he did it" on a sheet of paper.
The trial is expected to last all week.
