CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - The man police say led them on a high speed chase back in January was back in jail Monday and a judge set his bond Monday night.

Timothy McManus, who was released from jail July 21 after leading police on a high-speed chase in January, was arrested Monday and charged with driving under a suspended license third offense, habitual offender and borrowing a license tag, according to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say McManus was behind the wheel of an SUV that was having mechanical problems Monday morning.

A Charleston County judge set bond at $7,550 Monday night.

A family member of McManus, who identified herself as Chassidy Wicker, was at Monday's bond hearing and told the judge McManus was at her house and his driver got too drunk to drive him home. She told the judge McManus had to drive his wife's car home, so his kids could get to school.
