NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A parade to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. is scheduled for Sunday in North Charleston.
Organizers said the theme of this year's celebration is community. They want to focus on the good in local communities, not the bad.
The parade starts at 3 p.m. at Gaynor and Montague avenues. The parade will travel east on Montague Avenue to Park Circle.
Mayor Keith Summey will serve as the grand marshal.
Organizers said they want to make sure everyone, no matter their differences, remember and understand the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
