MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - A suspicious package found in a Mount Pleasant neighborhood ended up being hippie powder.
That's according to town fire officials.
The suspicious package was found on Colonel Vanderhorst Circle Saturday afternoon and officials were alerted.
After investigation, officials said the package was believed to be Holi powder, which is commonly used as body paint.
Officials say the package had several different packs of powder in 10 different colors. Each one was double-wrapped to ensure they didn't leak.
The residents who found the package told officials they did not remember purchasing the powder and thought it was odd that it came from India. As a result, they had concerns and thought it might be dangerous, fire officials said.
The package was safely disposed of, officials said.
