CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- One of four people charged in the Dec. 2011 death of Marquis Rashad Richardson has disappeared.

A spokesperson with the Solicitor's Office has confirmed that Travaris Walker, charged with murder and possession of a firearm during a violent crime, took off his electronic monitoring bracelet and his whereabouts are unknown.

According to Mike Nelson with the 9th Circuit Solicitor's Office, they found out "2-3 days ago" that Travaris Walker was missing.Nelson says that earlier this week, the electronic monitoring anklet worn by Walker went into "tamper mode."

At that point, the person responsible for monitoring for Charleston County called Walker and got no answer.{} Investigators went to where Walker was staying and found the anklet. They say Walker had stretched the anklet and took it off.Nelson confirms an emergency hearing was held before a judge earlier this week and bench warrants were issued for Walker's arrest.

A spokesperson for the Charleston Police Department said that the CPD hasn't issued a warrant for Walker's arrest but since the judge has, any police officer who comes in contact with him can arrest him because of the judge's warrant.

King Dominique Wilson of North Charleston, 22, 23-year-old Latasha Yvette McCall, 29-year-old Fredrick Andre Sanders and Travaris D. Walker, 29, from Charleston, were all charged back in January for the murder of Marquis Rashad Richardson.

Wilson, Sanders and McCall were charged with accessory before and after the fact. Walker was the only one charged with murder.

Officials say Richardson was abducted at gunpoint from 69 Norman Street and was forced into a vehicle. His body was found at a private railroad crossing off Lincolnville Road on December 19 with a gunshot to the head.

Walker is described as a 30-year-old black male, about 5'11" tall and weighing 180 pounds. His last known address was 38 Bull Street in downtown Charleston.Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Travaris Dwayne Walker is asked to contact the Charleston County Sheriff's Office at 843-202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
