N. Charleston Park serving thousands rededicated

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A North Charleston park that is a hub of youth athletic programs and serves thousands of people in South Carolina's third-largest city is being rededicated.

Mayor Keith Summey and city council members rededicate Pepperhill Park on Wednesday.

The park was recently expanded to include a new football and soccer field complex to complement the three existing baseball and softball fields. The renovations also include a new building with a press box, concession stand, restrooms, and a meeting room.

The parking lot was also enlarged.
