NCPD: 3 arrested in attempted murder, armed robbery
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three people were arrested following a robbery that happened outside the Berkshire St. Ives apartments last year.
According to a police report, an officer on patrol back in September heard a gunshot and screaming coming from the area and found the victim walking in the middle of the road.
The victim told police that he was robbed by two black men as he was walking from his car to his apartment.
The victim said one of the suspects pulled a gun from his waistband and demanded money. He said he handed over two cell phones and about $700 in cash.
The report says that's when the victim's girlfriend inside the apartment turned on the porch light and opened the door which frightened the suspects away. The victim said he chased them and they turned and fired at him before getting into a white car driven by a black female and fled the area.
The victim was able to give police a partial plate number for the car and after an investigation, police arrested three people in connection with the crime.
Two of the suspects, 20-year-old Jharrda Jerome Brown and 22-year-old Kadeem Shavod Felder were arrested for attempted murder and armed robbery. Felder was given a $175,000 bond.
Chanise Shirley King, 21, also faces armed robbery and attempted murder charges with an added charge of not stopping for blue lights. She posted a $52,000 bond on the condition that she not have any contact with the victims or her codefendants.
Felder and King were arrested last September. Brown turned himself in to police early Thursday morning.
