      NCPD: Hampton Inn robbed in North Charleston

      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police are investigating a robbery that happened at a hotel early Wednesday morning.According to a NCPD spokesperson, officers responded to the Fernwood Drive Hampton Inn just before 2 a.m.The clerk told them a man came in, pointed a gun and demanded money.Police said the suspect left through the front entrance after taking the cash.He is described as a skinny black male about 5'08" tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.Police said he had a long white t-shirt on under the hooded sweatshirt and was wearing sunglasses.Anyone with information on this or any other crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
