NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police have arrested a man they say fired shots at another man who may have been trying to buy marijuana from him.

According to a police report, officers responded to the Cheap Way gas station on Dorchester Road after a man there called 911 saying he had been shot.

The victim told police he had been shot at by a black man with a red gun while he was waiting for his ride at the Greyhound station across the street.

The victim said the man looked as if he had been urinating on the building but then turned and pointed the red gun at him, telling him not to move several times. When the suspect looked down at his weapon, the victim said he took the chance to run across the street, zig zagging when he heard shots fired.

While investigators spoke to the victim, the suspect was found and that's when police say the victim admitted he was trying to buy marijuana from the man. The victim said as they were about to make the deal, the suspect pulled out the red gun and the victim ran.

Horace Edwin Green is charged with attempted murder and attempted armed robbery, Police say they found the red gun with the suspect.
