NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Charleston man was arrested late Sunday night in connection to a May 14 bank robbery.
According to North Charleston police, Octavious Leon Carr was arrested late Sunday night at a home on James Island.
Police said they were able to positively identify Carr as the suspect in the First Citizens Bank robber.
A police spokesman said on the day of the robbery that a black male went into the bank shortly before 1 p.m. and presented a note to the teller demanding money. There was no mention of a weapon.
The suspect reportedly left the bank after receiving an undetermined amount of money. The suspect is described as a "bulky" male, 5'7 to 5'10 tall, with a medium complexion, and was wearing a black hoodie.
Carr is expected to go through bond court Monday evening.
