NCPD searching for robbery suspect who jumped in woman's car

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Officers are searching for a man who jumped into a woman's car at a North Charleston Walmart and forced her to drive to a credit union, said officials with the North Charleston Police Department.Officials said the woman was getting in her car in the parking lot of the Dorchester Road store around 10 p.m. Friday when a man jumped in on the passenger side with a gun.The man pointed the gun at the woman and told her to drive toward Ladson Road, officials said.The man went through her purse and when he saw she didn't have any cash, he ordered her to drive to the South Carolina Federal Credit Union near Dorchester and Ladson Roads and told her to withdraw money, officials said.Officials said the man then told the woman to drive him back toward the Walmart, where he jumped out near the Chili's parking lot. The suspect is described as a 5'11'' white male with a thin beard and mustache.If you have any information, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
