HANAHAN, S.C. (WCIV) -- A new library opened its doors in Hanahan on Sunday.
The new library includes desktop and laptop computers for public use and a special area for kids and teens to use computers as well as a story area for younger children.
The new building also has free WiFi access.
Berkeley County Supervisor Dan Davis says the library is a needed addition to the community.
"The library has always been a very important part of life here in Hanahan, and you can see by the crowds that everybody has been looking forward to this, anticipating it you know. It's just very uplifting for the community and a great facility for the town," he said.
The new library's regular days of operation will be Monday through Saturday. It will be closed on Sundays.
