POSITION SUMMARY:Prepare lineup and rundown forassigned newscasts. Independentlyorganize compelling news programs or program segments. Responsible for organization, coordinationwith other departments, news writing and distribution of final scripts. Produce or assist in production of special projectsoutside of regularly assigned newscasts. Provide studio control room supervision with regard to timing andcontent, and coordination and execution of live shots while program is on-air.
REQUIREMENTS: Prior television newscast producing experience required. College degree in journalism, masscommunications, or equivalent. Related experience will be evaluated bymanagement and may be substituted on the basis of one year of experience equalsone year of education. Knowledge of journalistic standards as they relate toon-air presentation of news stories. Must have good organizational skills andcomputer experience. Ability to make quick and appropriate decisions. Able to attend work regularly and beavailable to work occasional extended hours, holidays and weekends if needed.
