North Charleston lotto winner spending her money on others

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - The North Charleston woman who won $100,000 from a scratch-off game has been spending her money on others, she told lottery officials.

After claiming the prize from the ticket she bought at the Food Lion on Dorchester Road, she's doled out some to her mother and sister as well as her church and some neighbors.

She's chosen to go unnamed as well.

"I can't think of anything I want," confessed the winner. "But when I see something I like, I'll buy it."

According to{}lottery officials, there are still five $100,000 prizes in the $5 Winning Streak Game to be claimed. The South Carolina Education Lottery has resulted in $3 billion being generated to support education.

For selling the ticket, the Food Lion store received a $1,000 commission.
