According to a North Charleston police report, 21-year-old Jared Carson was charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

The report states that Carson shot a 19-year-old man Saturday night after claiming to be a neighbor and pointing a gun in the victim's girlfriend's face. The woman told police she heard two gun shots and then ran to find her boyfriend had been shot in the chest and forehead.
