      North Charleston man served warrants on heroin charges

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A North Charleston man was served Tuesday with warrants stemming from drug charges.

      According to Charleston police, 41-year-old Henry Coaxum Jr., who was on probation for possession of heroin, was charged with distributing heroin and distributing a controlled substance in close proximity of a school.

      The warrants were served at the Al Cannon Detention Center where Coaxum was being held on other charged unrelated to the case, police said.

      Police say Coaxum was found with a gram of heroin during an undercover operation on Orange Grove Road in West Ashley.
