North Charleston puts on the pink for breast cancer awareness

      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- There will be a pink glow in the North Charleston skyline this week as everything from City Hall to Riverfront Park shines a light on breast cancer awareness.The pink tribute is scheduled to run from October 22 to October 29. City buildings, including fire stations, the Power House on the Old Navy Base and the memorial at Riverfront park will be lit up with pink lights.City employees are encouraged to wear pink clothing and the city's pink fire truck will be making the rounds around town."This is an effort put forth by our employees to show our support for women, men, and families that are battling the ill effects of breast cancer," said North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey. "It's encouraging to see the enthusiasm of so many North Charleston employees in raising awareness."
